Buddha Purnima - 7 May 2020 BUDDHA Buddha is described as the ninth incarnation of Vishnu. Some scholars are opinion that the inclusion of Buddha as incarnation of Vishnu was probably due to the rising popularity of Buddhism and for the purpose of subordinating it to Hinduism. So some substituted in hies place Balarama, the lder brother of Krishna. Buddha is depicted in various forms in various places. Generally, he is shown with short kinky hair. He bears a calm and graceful appearance. The lobes of his ears are long. He wears a yellow robe. His hands are in boon-giving and protection -giving attitudes. Buddha is shown either in a standing or in a sitting pose. Buddhists do not accept that Buddha was an incarnation of any god.

INDRA JATRA Living Goddess or Kumari Another example of a peculiar goddess of the Kathmandu valley is the living goddess or Kumari. The worship of the virgin living goddess was instituted by Jaya Prakash Malla. Later all the three Malla Kings of Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu started wors hipping the virgin goddess from the later part of the 16th century. The Kumari worship was continued by Shah rulers also. However, kingship has been abolished on May 28 2008. Kumari is very popularly worshiped by the Newars of the Kathmandu valley. Kumari is also included among mother goddess and is regarded as incarnation of Kali.

बाबुको मुख हेर्ने दिन, कुशे औंसी | स्नाने होमे जपे दाने स्वाध्याये पितृकर्मणि । करौ सदर्भौ कुर्वीत तथा सन्ध्याभिवादने ।। सनातन धर्ममा कुशको महत्त्व अत्यधिक भएकाले धार्मिक कृत्यमा कुशको प्रयोग गरिन्छ। देवकार्य, पितृकार्यलगायत हरेक धार्मिक कार्य कुशबिना सम्पादन हुँदैन। कुशको पवित्र लगाएर कुश हातमा लिएर सनातन धर्ममा कुशको महत्त्व अत्यधिक भएकाले धार्मिक कृत्यमा कुशको प्रयोग गरिन्छ। देवकार्य, पितृकार्यलगायत हरेक धार्मिक कार्य कुशबिना सम्पादन हुँदैन। कुशको पवित्र लगाएर कुश हातमा लिएर मात्र संकल्प एवं देव–पितृहरूको पूजनादि कर्म गरिन्छ। सन्ध्यामा पनि कुशको विशेष महत्त्व छ। HAPPY FATHER DAY

बकर ईद 12 August 2019.  मुस्लिम समुदाय बकर ईद चाड नेपालमा १२ अगस्त 2019  सोमबार  मा मनाइन्छ। मुस्लिम क्यालेन्डर अनुसार, चाडपर्व बिदा शुरुआती दिनको सूर्यास्तमा शुरू हुन्छ र उही दिनमा मनाइन्छ। जस्तो कि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय पात्रो सौर पात्रो हो, त्यो चाडको मिति समान छैन। इस्लामी क्यालेन्डर एक चन्द्र पात्रो हो। त्यसकारण, ईद अल-अधाको पर्व सामान्यतया प्रत्येक वर्ष उही दिन मनाइन्छ। ईद अल-अधाको मिति विभिन्न देशहरूमा फरक हुनेछ | फरक देशहरूमा जुन चाँद दूरदर्शी भएको छ। Happy Bakar Eid

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः। गुरुः साक्षात्परब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥ ध्यानमूलं गुरोर्मूर्तिः पूजामूलं गुरोः पदम् । मन्त्रमूलं गुरोर्वाक्यं मोक्षमूलं गुरोः कृपा ॥ आषाढ शुक्लपक्षको पूर्णिमालाई गुरुपूर्णिमा भनिन्छ। आफ्ना प्रथम गुरुहरू (माता-पिता), गायत्रीमन्त्र दिने गुरु, दीक्षामन्त्र दिने गुरु, वेदादि शास्त्र पढाई यो लोक र परलोकको सही शिक्षा दिने गुरु र आफूले पढेका विद्यालय-विश्वविद्यालयका सम्पूर्ण गुरुहरूलाई नमन गर्ने, पूजन गर्ने, चिठीपत्र, एसएमएस, टेलिफोन आदिका माध्यमबाट कृतज्ञता ज्ञापन गर्दै आशीर्वाद लिने मुख्य पर्वका रूपमा गुरुपूर्णिमालाई लिइन्छ। हिन्दु धर्मशास्त्रहरूमा माता, पिता र ज्ञानदाता गुरुको तुलनामा अन्य पूज्य कोही हुँदैनन् भनी उल्लेख गरिएको छ। यसैगरी महिलाहरूका लागि माता, पिता र पति मुख्य गुरु हुन् भनी बताइएको छ।
